White Sealing (Composite Sealing)
The metal or gray color is not aesthetic. Thus, cosmetic dentists start using composites (“white fillings”) more frequently.
The new adhesive techniques now make it possible to carry out composite restorations, more aesthetic alternatives to amalgam fillings (gray fillings).
Composites were initially used for anterior teeth; the development of a more wear-resistant composite made it possible to use them for the posterior teeth. The composites take the form of pastes made of quartz, silica and zirconium.
